BMW R1100S BCR
Yesterday I took my 22 TC into the dealer for the two recalls. While waiting, I talked with the gentleman who sold me my TC almost two years ago. I noticed they had 4 TCs sitting on the floor. All were marked down to $14500.00... If anyone is interested in getting a TC, now is the time. They are selling them pretty cheap.

Is that a brand new TC for $14.5k..?

That is cheap as chips. It seems to me the dealer wants to get rid of them pretty quick and no returns.
In the UK the situation is very similar. I only found 5 TC for sale on Bike Trader. One new at £27K and 4 very low mileage at about £15K each. There may be others out there selling on EBay or the dealerships themselves but I bet the prices are similar.

Motorcycles of Charlotte (BMW) has several on Cycle Trader listed. I thought i got a killer deal on mine, a few weeks ago @16,900 for my TC

As you know I’ve been looking lately, didn’t see hardly any TC for sale either, a tiny handful of Classics and maybe one or two B’s. Having had a few dozen conversations with dealers all over the UK this last fortnight I think trading in ANY bike not just BMW is no longer painless or straightforward. Dealers are not wanting to take in a p/x they just want to trade them out straight away to 3rd parties who give very low prices or refuse the bike altogether.

Wow that extremely low price for a new TC , i was in my local dealership yesterday and noticed they have no R18 ,s on the floor at all , what,s going on ? how can a bike cost up too $25,000 then drop too $15,000 ? , another reason why i will hang on too my R18 Classic 10,000 miles now with no problems .

The bike market is struggling. I’m not a HD hater and have owned 4 myself over the years however if you take a look, the prices have fallen considerably on those too…look for say the 114 Street Bob as one example. HD Dealers are listing them, brand new or pre-reg for around £10-£12k mark and there’s lots of them gathering dust. I know we obviously focus on our bike here but it’s worth looking over the fence sometimes to see it’s the same over there. There aren’t many new and unregistered R18’s left in the UK, about a dozen, and that was from the BMW dealer who showed me on his computer screen. If you really want one, buy it while you can.

The R18's weren't great sellers and the market for heavyweight cruisers has really taken a hit. Harley was offering $3k off baggers last month on new bikes, and lots of dealers are full of 2024 inventory still. My local Indian dealer still has a new 2023 Challenger on the floor and has it marked down $8k and it hasn't sold yet.

It's a bummer, because the R18 is likely the best engineering and manufactured heavy weight cruiser on the market. So if you want one, now is a great time to jump!

$8k? That’s insane! What’s the dealer? That’s a super solid grab for someone.

One bike not really seeing much in the way of price reduction - I’m kicking tires on Goldwings and of the two near me, they both want $33k OTD (which is right about MSRP plus TTL & freight) and likely only want to give 8500-10k for my R18B with fewer than 4000 miles. I’m gathering that the Goldwing hits a specific market and the prices might not sink much.

And on the flip, our niche big boy beemers just tanking on the trade in market - which I get, but dang. Would either have to take the hit on the trade, take the time to find someone to buy it for more, or do the smart thing and keep riding it.

Of course, if you are a buyer, the low price is great. I got my 2022 R18B with 4K miles this summer for $14K and that was with 2 years left of the warranty, because it sold new in 2023. I thought that was a great deal. I could have waited and gotten a new Transcontinental. Oh well, I love my B and have it decked out like I want it.
