BMW R18 Classic FE
I've been riding motorcycles for almost 30 years now, but I've never had a bike that was suited for touring until I purchased by R18C. I had the opportunity to take a couple weeks off work and do a road trip with my sister and her husband to Glacier National Park. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the R18 did.

We took nine and a half days round trip to go from Albuquerque to Kalispell, MT where we met up with my half brother who lives in BC. We took the Going-to-the-Sun Road from West Glacier to East Glacier. We took the same way back, then started our way home with a detour into Colorado so we could ride the Million Dollar Highway.

When all was said and done, we covered about 2,700 miles. Other than a little soreness in the hips and knees near the end, it was a fantastic trip.
