Hi all
Newbie first post...
'22 plate FE Classic.
After a battery change and some tinkering I've managed to throw up a fault/service light. I'm looking for reccomendations for a doohicky thingamy to plug into the OBD socket to reset the fault light.
I'll also be doing all my own servicing so will need to reset service prompt lights as well.
I'm a decent bike mechanic after working on and riding bikes since the early '80's, but this is my first bike with this technology.
I'm based in the UK so looking for something I can easily buy here (and importantly, as I am more mechanically minded a simple piece of kit I can operate!).
Black Friday is soon so now is the time to buy!
Thanks in anticipation.

Welcome, Bloogdad. New member here, too. What you need is a Hex GS 911, which is essential and indispensable if you want to do your own service. You'll need a laptop and internet connection, too, and then you're good to go for checking for faults and resetting the service reminder. I received an ad for their Black Friday sale going on now, so take a look at their website.

Check out Amazon . That’s were I got mine . And yes you will need it if you plan to do your own work there around 400 bucks but will pay for it’s self in no time.

Hi and welcome. I am using MotoScan app in my mobile phone. It's worth to purchase profi licence. It doesn't cost a fortune and you can use it for several BMW models (i have GS1200 and R18) Then you will need UniCarScan UCSI-2000 bluetooth adapter. I've bought it as a bundle with BMW data cable which i need for GS 1200.
