BMW R18 Transcontinental
Looking to sell or trade into a 2020 - 2024 Honda Goldwing Tour DCT
Or a 2017 and up BMW RT is also up for consideration
Beautiful 2022 FE TC had every option checked available at the time which was everything today minus the SOS switch.
Everything works as it should including the adaptive headlight which is under a recall notice but no issues as of now.
Factory warranty until October 2025.
TFT software was updated last year to the latest spec and no issues to report with the navigation.
All servicing up to date done by BMW and myself. Engine oil and filter have been changed 3 times. Transmission oil 1 time and final drive 3 times.
Brake fluid changed and valves adjusted by BMW last year.
Bike comes with engine oil and filter, transmission oil, air filter and all o rings and washers for the next service.
Current mileage 2700 miles.
The following accessories are installed on the bike or with the bike and all original removed parts are included in the sale price.
BMW TFT screen protector
Wunderlich extended shift pedals up and down shift
Wunderlich Saddlebag protection bars chrome
LidLox chrome helmet locks on handlebars mounted at switchgear
BMW extended brake pedal pad as fitted to current TC/B production
Exhaust servos removed and 2 servo buddy modules installed
Shark Road performance slip on chrome mufflers. A really nice mellow sound not to loud
Bagger windshield with grommets fitted so easy change over TC windshield currently fitted
Phone cable for iPhone
BMW luggage bags all 3 still in the wrapper for top case and saddlebags
New never used Kern Stabi lift "I have a pneumatic lift bench"
All original removed parts included in sale
$20500 for all
I am not looking to part anything out but sell as a whole package
I will post more pictures as the weather allows it is hammering down today in TX.

EDITED to add BMW RT as possible trade option. Removed GS911 tool and dropped price by $500

Listing edited with new options. Reduced price and GS911 removed from sale.
I need to get into something I like, that is easier on my shoulder.
Believe it or not the Goldwing is very easy to ride, as is an RT. I just find the TC a handful at low speed two up but that's more due to injuries than anything else.
Almost a year since my last surgery and I'm still struggling.
So what have you got for an old man that would be easier to handle?

I am thinking the same exact thing Moving to a Honda GoldWing
I went for a test ride on a DCT Tour and I had a preconceived idea that no way would I like a motorcycle without a clutch lever but I was totally amazed at how well engineered the whole concept is.
I have ridden a few Goldwings over the years but the current model is more sport tourer orientated now than ever before and the handling is very good.
This from a man who has been riding road bikes for 50 years.
It's a very impressive motorcycle.
I'm sure it has like everything some down sides and initially I was apprehensive when I took it out but not many miles later I was impressed. Rode in some DFW freeway traffic and surface streets with a ride out of town into the country a little it handled it all remarkably well.

I found the limiting factor of a goldwing dct is the…dct. I felt the need to trail brake (rear brake) while giving it a drop of throttle to complete low speed turns and u-turns. Though one can do manual shift mode it is not the same as a clutch. Granted it shifts well, and likewise upshifts to higher gears quickly even at low speed. I did find the foot shifter I added was of benefit and I enjoyed using that.

I am uncertain how well bmws’ new auto clutch will turn out.

Honda just came out with a e-clutch which seems interesting. Actually just sold 2019 goldwing tour air bag (will miss the air bag) and picked up a used 2023 r1250gs low. The Wing just felt like too much tech for me for some reason yet I like the tech on the new r1300…go figure.
