I'm a weirdo. The last thing I want mounted on my motorcycle is a phone. I usually have one with me but it stays in my saddlebag unless I need to call someone.
Such a simple fix to what was clearly a problem BMW must have known about when they were building/designing the B model. They could have added the winglets on every bike for next to nothing.
I bought the kit from Moto-D that includes a mounting plate and replaces the stock airbox cover. The instructions that came with it recommend a 15000KM service interval and you don't replace the filter you clean it, oil it and reuse it. It has a lifetime guarantee. Buy once, cry once. About $140...
Finally had time to install the DNA air filter. The instructions caution against over tightening the screws and BELIEVE THEM! I stripped one of the rear ones but since the screws are only about 1/4" longer than the hole in the mounting plate I only stripped the first couple of threads. I...
I agree. When I had the 600 mile service done on my '21 R18C the dealer said there weren't any ECU upgrades available. Fine with me because my bike runs great. That was in the spring of 2022.
I don't even like adaptive cruise control on my car. I turn it off and use it as a regular cruise control. I darn sure don't want it on my motorcycle. YMMV
My 21 R18C came spec'd out with floorboards and cruise control but no reverse. That's perfect for me.
It's a motorcycle. It's going to be uncomfortable every now and then. Rain, sunburn, noise, cold, heat, wind, vibration, etc. That's part of the appeal. That said, some motorcycles vibrate more than others and large twin cylinder motors vibrate more than most but I haven't found the vibration on...
Until someone comes up with a more diminutive replacement I'm going to leave mine alone. Putting lipstick on a pig never helps. All it does is make you notice the pig.
You can't accurately measure velocity with GPS unless your position can be accurately determined. The amount of time it takes to move from one spot to the next is how velocity is computed. Velocity and position are not individual components. They're both products of the same data. If one is...
Found the link I was looking for right here on the forum. I added the 4% part. Don't know how that got implanted in my brain except that when I did the math for the error on my bike it turned out to be 4%.
