For the R18. Yes I know they've only done two plugs! The previous owner had it done and the dealership told him that the bottom 2 weren't needed. Actually I intend on running my plugs to 24k or more. My Honda has the same plugs and is specced at 36k! The also didn't list the valve check or...
The more and more research that I do and have done, I am convinced that 75W/90 will be a safe and satisfactory substitution. Broadly, 75W/90 (and 140) is factory spec for many vehicles with "sealed for life" gearboxes (dreadful things- difficult to service and NOTHING is maintenance free). Two...
Now is probably not the best time to say this, but I reuse my bolts. I use threadlock and have never replaced discs on the same bike twice but they have never come loose and remained at the correct torque across all makes. You might get a few $ on ebay or Craigslist if you can be bothered. I'd...
I've folded and ordered the kit with the wheels as well (my garage is only 7' wide, so some manouvering is required) as I have my 12k service coming up- the previous seller had a dealer give it an oil change and then claimed that the "big" service was done 🙄. Currenly held in customs for £96...
Both of these weight oils are GL-5 spec. Has anyone got any experience of running 75W? I can't see that 75W would be much thicker in colder climates and the UK is officially temperate being warmer than both Washington and Maine on similar latitudes as we are warmed by the sea, so we don't get...
Welcome GP. As said, you'd be looking at the TC model. The tech concerns me as it's more to go wrong, but no massive issues are known currently but I believe that North America as a whole has a stop on sales at the moment due to a potentially failing adaptive headlight, but that may not extend...
Just for clarity it is NOT the same size plug that was/is on the R12 series which is often listed as a GPS plug. This plug is a MID090005 plug. The plug on the left is from the R12 series with the blank socket from this one...
It's behind the OBD2 socket. No need to take the battery cover off. Red/yellow is live, brown ground. It is an engine switched live, so even with ignition on there is no power until the engine is running.
Thanks for the assist. 👍🏻
It will also reduce the octane by a few single digits, so an octane booster is recommended. Once set up it's not much trouble to do. I confess to trying it on a small scale for chainsaws, but I really couldn't be bothered (I was only doing it in 2 ltr soda pop bottles).
