    Remus Exhaust

I looked at Jekill and Hyde, but I don't want to add complexity (wires/cables, etc.).

Has anyone installed the Remus exhaust on their R18? Any feedback?

    Exhaust Flapper Valve Servo/Cables Removal

The butterfly valve (flapper) is spring-loaded. Once you remove the servo cable the valve will be held in the open position by a spring.

    Remus Exhaust

Has anyone installed the Remus Slip-On Exhaust on the R18? If you did, how do you like it? I have the 100 Year Edition with the Akrapovic mufflers and while they look nice, they are very, very quiet. My other bike in the garage is a Harley Street Glide with Vance and Hines Power Dual...

    Exhaust Servo

The Servo Buddy plugs into the wiring harness, replacing the servo motor. Nothing plugs into the servo motor. As far as sound, it makes a bit of a difference at idle and low RPM. Since the ECM opens the valves at high RPM, these mods will not make any difference at that point.

    Exhaust Servo

I will try to explain this as clearly as I can. The exhaust valve is connected to a servo motor that is electrically controlled by the Engine Control Module. The valve is also connected to a spring that holds it in the open position by default. There are three ways to ensure the valve stays...

    Floor Board Installation Question

Yeah, I bought the kickstand, but it was not needed, so I returned it. I ended up using just the new OEM mounts with the new OEM floor boards and the existing kickstand works just fine. Not sure why they recommend a new kickstand. I placed it next to the existing kickstand and they look...

    Exhaust Servo

I removed the servos, but not the flapper valve. Removing the flapper valve involves minor welding to plug the holes after valve removal. Removing the servos leaves the valve in the open position, held in place by the valve spring. You do need two servo buddies (eliminators). I used this...

Is there a BMW shop manual out for our bikes yet? Or, an electronic version?

I strongly agree with this statement. Incredibly difficult to find things.

    BMW OEM Chrome Engine Guard

Thanks Ulrich, but I am looking on what the bars look like on the bike, not the installation instructions. Trying to decide between the BMW OEM Engine Guard and the Wunderlich offering.

    BMW OEM Chrome Engine Guard

Has anyone purchased and installed the chrome BMW OEM Engine Guards on a First Edition R18? If so, can you please post any pictures you might have?

    SLR Tune?

There is absolutely no reason for a tuner not to be transparent and publish the dyno data, zero, unless they have something to hide. They don't have to publish the map data, that's understandable, but dyno charts? Of course a shady tuner can publish fake dyno charts, but that will come to the...

    SLR Tune?

I would stay far, far away from any tuner that sells any tune without using a Dyno to dial it in. Far away.

    ZARD EXHAUST

Removing the cat will not trigger the check engine light as long as the O2 sensors are still in place.
