    Dropped your R18 yet?

Yes I dropped the R18 and this is the story : Everything started well this Sunday September 3. It was sunny. We had chosen the right clothes to be comfortable on the motorbike which sped peacefully on the secondary roads between Lorient and Quimperlé where we drank a coffee near Les Halles...

BMW Navigator VI on BMW R18?

Hello, I used the Navigator VI for years on BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 RT but when I bought the R18 Classic I felt that the GARMIN NAVIGATOR VI had not evolved for a long time so I decide to sold the device to buy a ZUMO XT.....The support with the ZUMO XT did not suit me so I made cradles fixed...

center stand and raise the R18C

Bravo for the video! I myself use the Kern Stabi system and a high lift pallet truck. During last ride I made a stop to take a picture of the bike and guess what ? I realised I forgot to disassemble the Kern Stabi system, Oooops ! It fortunately did not cause any incident, see attached...

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

In my case I chose not to leave the positioning bolt under the engine because I find that it protrudes a little too much. I just screw it by hand without using a wrench and I dismantle it after each use, see photo

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

I'm not a particularly muscular person either. At first, even placing the platform under the motorcycle was difficult. Then I learned the right gestures. When it comes to lifting there is no risk of bending anything. The motorcycle must be held vertically before starting to operate the lever...

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

Congratulations on your purchase. Only after using it several times will you be comfortable with it. If lifting the motorcycle does not require any particular effort, you must however be very careful when descending because the lever risks slipping out of your hand as the force is surprisingly...

    Gas Mileage

One thing I would like to add : Although the BMW R 18 Classic is not equipped with a travelable distance indicator, there is one thing that cannot be emphasized enough, and that is that the instant fuel consumption indicator is absolutely accurate. If displayed instead of the rev counter, it...

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

I didn't have the courage to take pictures of the Kern Stabi in place, too hot today, but I made a montage with the positions of the drain and the filter represented by black circles, see the attached photo. There is no doubt about the possibility of intervention on the oil filter when the...
