    Opinion R1300RT

Yesterday I took out my dealerships 2026 R1300RT and put 300 miles on it for them. It was a demo bike that has to have at least 300 miles on it before it could be sold. It’s a beautiful machine, triple black with unmatched fit and finish, fully loaded. Price tag $33,000. These are my subjective...

    Beautiful Day

I rode my 2022 R18B up through the Skagit Valley today. I have owned numerous BMW models—RT, K1600, etc. for me my R18 is the best bike I have owned. It is comfortable, nostalgic, and a fine tuned and made machine. More people need to value and appreciate the R18.

    Question 2022 R18B vs newer R18B

The Brentune aside, after riding the two stock bikes side by side, would I notice any significant difference?

    Question 2022 R18B vs newer R18B

I own a 2022 R18B. I know the current model has had some improvements in torque and other engine changes. My question is if anyone has driven the newer version and if so, are the subtle changes significantly noticeable?

    The positive things thread

I bought my R18B because it spoke to me. Unlike other BMW’s my R18 fit me like a glove, rode and handled awesome and has been absolutely reliable so far. You can’t beat the fit and finish of the machine and the nostalgic feel of the motor and performance. My bike gets routinely serviced by the...

    BMW gives up the R18

Your opinion is limited to you. If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong. Most of us who own an R18 love the bike and will probably disagree with you.

I'm back (ish) - swap my '23 H-D Street Bob UK only

I bought a 2022 B new. Rode it for a little over a year then foolishly traded it in. I got a 2022 Road King Special. Nice bike but no technology, heated grips or seat, etc. the R18B sat in the dealership for almost a year. No test rides. Every time I entered my dealership I’d see the bike...

    Helmet suggestions

This article goes into detail about the difference between the C3 and C5. https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/products/helmets/schuberth-c5-flip-front-review The C5 is totally redesigned. For me the fit is excellent, but not everyone has the same head shape and the C5 might not be...

    Non-Ethanol fuel

I run non-ethanol fuel in my 2022 R18B. Just completed a 710 mile trip. My average fuel mileage was 52.4 mpg. I paid. 5.25 per gallon but feel it is better for the bike especially sitting over the winter. (Hey it’s the State of Washington, third highest gas prices in the nation). This app can...

    Helmet suggestions

I bought a Schuberth C5 yesterday, size 57. I had a C3. Big difference on fit and I notice substantial noise reduction and less buffing on my R18B. No regrets.

    Valve Cover Trim

When I bought my first R18 BMW, R18 Classic, BMW offered a $1000 accessory credit. I bought the above RS full valve covers with the money. They were $1300. At the dealer the other day I noticed the price now is $2300!!! B— bring M—my W—wallet Still they are beautiful and really enhance the...

    BMW CE 04

I have 4 bmw bikes: 2023 RT, 2022 R18B, 2023 1400GS Trophy and a CE 04 scooter. I bought the scooter because the price was right and it is a fun bike. I typically get 77 miles on a charge plus the regenerative braking adds miles as you go. The scooter is not for everyone. The naysayers on this...
