The reason that I mentioned the phone low battery symbol issue, is that because on each occasion the phone had more than 90% charge. It IS an indicator of something, just that I don't know what.

There most definitely are nuts, as I said above. 2 sizes are used.

Just a tip, use a soft faced hammer/mallet to tap the exhaust hanger backwards - much easier than pulling and twisting the exhaust.

I don't know the answer, so will pose it anyway. do the naked bikes have the top box connectors fitted as standard under the seat? That would have switched power and braking/running feeds.

On Saturday last week, I fitted the Healtech switched servo units on a single double pole switch underneath the right battery panel and also drilled the exhausts. Makes a very small difference at idle, but a significant difference from 2000 rpm...I like the change. Problem is that I will burn...

Intermittant problems sounds suspiciously like a ground fault. Check that the ground (-ve) connections under the left panel are tight and corrosion free. It'll take about 30 secs to check those and another 30 secs to check the main fuse under the right panel.

Yep picked mine up about 6 weeks ago and put on 1500 miles- the bike is now knocking on 12k miles (but the previous owner was conned by the dealer that it needed a 12k service at 10.5k miles (2 years old), so now my servicing schedule is messed up :rolleyes:)
