I spent 3 hrs cleaning mine the other day and the long haired General was going nuts asking why I had gotten a machine that needed so much care. I pointed out that her NC750S if washed properly (that I wash for her every time!) takes 2 hrs and that has no chrome. She soon stopped moaning then.

Me? I'd happily lose the chrome, I love all black. I got rid of a factory blacked out H-D as the English climate was turning it to dust with being used 10 months of the year. I would love my TC in black or even black chrome (well actually I want a B and the trunk is coming off very soon).

Common on most BMs with the alarm system for a decade or more. The batteries normally last 5-8 yrs.

I 100% agree. With all of the feedback from various users across all models using the TFT, the only common thread is that whilst the display is great, the software is utter garbage. There are very few saying that the app is ok or even good. BMW - listen to the many not the few!

As we know thanks to other members the DWA (back up/alarm/immobiliser) is situated immediately behind the OBD2 port immediately above the battery . There are no screws to undo to access it in situ. Remove the left hand panel, slide the OBD2 off to the side to remove it, disconnect the two...

Normally 10v and above should be okay, but a verification would be much appreciated thank you.

That's what I've just done bud. Under load 10.7v. I've had/got the DWA out and batteries checked. They are full power. Update later with photos. The DWA is in a very bad place for non dry climates.
