Nice. Just out of curiosity, did you try and see if you could use the battery’s + and - terminals? Do you know if you’re able to get to the battery terminals without having to remove the battery? Just ordered the Thunderbox - thanks for the tip on this.

Very happy with the Bren Tune on my TC. When taking the bike to the dealer I always flash back to the stock tune. If there were no changes to the ECU, I’ll then re-flash back to the Bren Tune. If there were ECU changes, Bren charges a reasonable amount to re-program. Do a search in the forums...

Thanks for the link. Do you have this installed on your B? If so, what was involved in connecting the + and - terminals to the battery? I ask because I took the seat off and the battery terminals didn't seem easy to get to.

I bought my 2023 R18 Transcontinental with 0% financing from BMW. So maybe check into that - I’m not sure if the 0% financing is over now, but I don’t think so. Can’t help you with maintenance, as I prefer my dealer to do it and I’m at that age where my back hurts if bending over too much.

I bought one for my TC, but then I found you practically need to raise the engine to install it. Install on a standard R18 should be easier. So it’s been sitting in my closet. It’s for sale if anyone’s interested.

Well I found the handlebar mount options not what I wanted, so I mounted a RAM ball to the TC’s top “shelf”. I would’ve liked to have it center in front of the antenna, but it wasn’t possible to secure it there. But this works just as well, and it’s very secure.

I’m looking for a switched power wire on the TC/B that I can easily tap into. Something under the seat and easily accessible would be great.

I find the Connected App’s GPS/navigation lacking on my TC. I’m curious if anyone’s mounted a Garmin or such on their B or TC, and if so how did you do it? Not interested in using a phone for navigation, but a real GPS.

After adjusting the heel-toe shifter on my TC, I’ve gotten quite comfortable with it. And I haven’t experienced any heat coming from the big jugs even in 100 degree heat, but then I was wearing boots.
