The NOCO NLP30 that I have in my '21 R18 Classic fits the space perfectly, not smaller in dimensions in any way.

is it for lithium batteries? my NOCO GENIUS 1 charger senses what type of battery and automatically charges most types, lead acid, agm, lithium, etc. check what the charger manufacturer says. I think optimate is a top brand.

That Bren Tune seems a little off to me. I live near their offices here in Massachusetts, USA and contacted them to do an install on my R18. They said they don't ever do that. Strikes me as odd. Plus expensive for software???

I can say that I have done this with my 2021 classic. It sounds awkward but is surprisingly easy and it works.

I always did the same as you with the stock battery in my 2021 but it seemed to be getting weak a few months back so I replaced it with a NOCO NLP30 lithium battery. Now, I hope to make this new tech battery last 10 years! You have to have goals!
