I just put on the lower deflectors same as the Transcontinental last night I am also happy to report that all my helmet shake is gone. What an amazing difference.

I'm glad to hear that solved the problem. I am just getting ready to do the same thing. I am prepared to fabricate a bracket to relocate the turn signals - do you have a picture of where the signals contact the deflector?

If you want to maintain your warranty - I believe that an annual service is required regardless of mileage. You can do this yourself as long as you document what you did. I do alll my own work and I keep a log of all work and receipts so I can maintain the warranty if needed.

I'm curious why you did not order the fork covers for the earlier model R18. Also the R18b has fork covers that may fit.

You will need the bolts for the main attachment. I was able to get these bolts at my local Ace Hardware. I purchased stainless steel bolts and they were quite expensive. You may be able to purchase these elsewhere for less.

I bought one from Euro Moto in France I believe and shipped it here. It was less money than what the Ebay asking price ($260?). I think I paid right at 200.00USD delivered. That was back in November.

Those look like mounts for an aftermarket fork lower wind deflector.

The stock battery is a lead acid type battery so using a trickle charger is fine.

Everything I have read says that LifePo4 batteries should be stored at less than 100% SOC and 50% SOC is good. Storing at 100% SOC will cause the battery to degrade slightly over time. Here is a video about storing these batteries. Not for motorcycles but still applies...

It is really not a good idea to store a lithium battery at full charge. It is recommended that the battery not exceed about 60% of charge for extended periods of storage time. A lithium battery can hold a charge for a very long time as compared to a lead acid battery. I would not worry too...

That is a Chinese windshield - same as sold on Aliexpress. Curious as to your opinion of the quality of it. These are made of acrylic not polycarbonate as the OEM windshield. Much easier to crack and fracture.

Mustang is no longer making seats for BMW anymore. There are still some out there in dealer inventories and I have seen some really low prices especially on the Brown leather seats.

I'm sure if you rode both bikes switching back and forth you would notice a 4 ft. lb. difference in torque but I doubt it would be a big difference.
