Nice long ride today in the Summer heat. Took off the large windscreen and installed a small deflector ...for the Summer.. Nice! Light, less drag...This bike Brentuned with the DNA stage 2...93 octane, ethanol free fuel, fresh valve adjustment, small shield just hauls ass!

Limits are 70 here...in rural areas. I don't set it there for long...but on occasion. I set usually @ 9 over...Just fun to do on occasion, you know, for posterity...

I closely inspected mine, and I noticed a slight amount of oil dried near the seam. I have a bit over 6k miles. Is there a recall I should be aware of? Just to make this clear. I bought my first shaft driven Honda in 1983...and then another in 2003... finishing with yet another new Honda in...

6300 mi, fresh valve adjustment, Btune, DNA2, 93oct, treated for ethanol fuel...the bike blasts with authority...Took three consecutive runs to adjust to the new valve specs. The bike is brilliant. Instant throttle response, loud punctual STOCK exhaust. Eat HDs for breakfast...lol

I just had my valves adjusted at 6k miles. All four valves were out of spec. Target on all four valves .2-.3 mm. Mine were all at approx. .4mm. My dealer charged me only 1 hour of labor to do the job! $140...Barrington Cycle Works... I should note that the bike was running great with the valves...

Insane, what r u nutz? I can fill my R18C all the way to the top, which I rarely do...and get plenty of miles from a full tank.

Hi, it got hot around these parts lately and the R18C's windshield sucks/channels hot air off the pavement and onto my body. It sucked last weekend. I know I can easily take it off, but I still want protection from rocks and bugs. Deflectors are great for this. Has anyone put on on their R18C?

I just had it done at 6K miles. My local BMW dealer did the job, and only charged a little over an hour of labor. It needed it. They were off by 2Ks. Bike was running good though when I brought it in. The valves are just now slightly quieter...and it's got a bit more spring in it's step...

Find a new dealership if possible.

When you're removing the air filter screws that hold the stock air box cover in place, pay attention to them coming out. There's threaded inserts in the bottom of the airbox that the screws are threaded into. They have a tendency to come out instead of the screws themselves.

No, the bike will auto adjust to the improved air flow nicely. You'll love the added torque, throttle response, and deeper sound.
