Any more thoughts? I test-rode the KW and the OEM back to back today. I need to do it again and put my action cam on my helmet. As I said before, with the KW screen, my helmet vibrated, which caused my vision to become slightly blurred, like how the view looks from the mirror, a little blurred...

I find it a little hard to believe that BMW would hand out $1,000 in money for accessories to currnet owners. I could see them doing that as a sales incentive for new bikes. Has anyone who is an existing owner received compensation?

So there are 5048 potentially involved, and the estimated number with defects is 1%. That’s only 50 bikes.

It looks like this was partially answered. Somene asked on YouTube why they didn’t have an announcement, BMW responded that they would postpone the communications on their new models to a later date. So, it looks like that post was intended to announce a new model.

This pic shows how it hits my Heli-Bar bag protection bars. The picture is a little deceiving; the bars are less than an inch from the bags; once they are lined up, they only settle properly at that spot… Meaning I can’t move the bars to get more room.

The Jack handle does hit my Helibars bag protection bar. I’ll be cutting the jack handle today. I was looking for the drawing posted above which is why I’m in this thread months after it was posted :-) Edit, I’m not going to cut the bar. I don’t see how cutting the bar is gonna change anything...

I put the Klok Works on my bagger today. I need to ride both back to back in order to really judge them. I just went for the first ride on the Klok Werks and I felt like my eyeballs were bouncing around.

They have been great. No issues in over a year. If there is ever a problem, they will fix it. Edit: I searched r/ and found that people liked them :-)

I have two pairs of Indie Ridge boots; one is mesh for summer and the other for those cold California winters :-). Well made and comfortable. The company is small enough that if you ever have an issue, they will take care of it without any drama. I had thread come loose on a pair of glove they...

That’s not the same thing. The Instagram post did not show the R20 concept; it showed part of the R18 with a cryptic message that something new was coming. Since it was showing the R18 1800cc badge on the side of the engine, it seemed to imply that it was R18-related.

I just ordered the tint color, I’m not a fan of solid black windshields for the most part. I tried one of those clip-on deflectors. I don’t dig the look, and depending on where I set it, I’m either looking through it, which I hate, or the edge of the deflector is at eye level, which is annoying...

I’ve been lucky and have not had to pay for another tune file. Knock on wood.

I was thinking the R20 also, but if that was the case, I wouldn’t expect them to show the 1800cc badge in the teaser.
