:) Yes, pillion peg bolts on my R18 Base were very tight, I was impressed at how hard they were to unscrew. I used a 1/2 in ratchet to get a bit more leverage, and the ratchet was sturdier.

I used a T55 torx bit to remove the buddy pegs on my 2021 R18 FE.

The OEM Engine Guard tubing on my 2022 R18TC is 30mm diameter. I measured at several points, and it was within thousandths at each. The Wunderlich Rear Bag Guards are 25mm on the front loop, and a little shy of 23mm on the rearward arm around the bag.

I haven't actually tried the leg rests, but I think I'd get them if they had a place to put your heel, so legs are not out straight, something to feel a bit more stable.

No sign of it on mine. Could they be tie-down abrasions, or something related to suspension action in transport?

The plastic plug just covers the top of the surface, here're a couple images of mine. This is the same plug that BMW equips on the R18 spec'd without a pillion.
