Decided that the front axle mounting will nót do. Ergo a fork brace. I knéw I had seen a design for old airheads which might work and found it. Sent them an email and if they don´t have or do not fabricate one for the R18 will have it done locally.

Ok, back to the R18 rigs. An observation for all with the original telescopic fork. The front axle is held in place by two torx bolts either side, clamping the bottom of the fork legs down on it. Not the stiffest of mountings but quite enough for the standard solo bikes. With a sidecar fitted...

Today out for a netto 3,5 hour hárd workout on the sidecar rig. All bends & corners up and down. Ergo sweat on the brow and back monkey business. Most 40 -60 km/h only some up to 80. No way I could be able to cope with full face or flip up. Wind noise no issue obviously. Enjoying the exhaust...

The glowdots are not the highest quality but do glow in the dark for some time. Not that it matters much it at all, but it is a point mentioned in the sales blurp.

fitted the El Cheapo anologue clock. Painted the housing black so only the ring around the dial is chrome, just like the speedometer.
