Helmet / Jacket combination makes a huge difference on buffeting.

The downside of Arai is the punishing wind noise!! At least compared to Schuberth.

I replaced my Schuberth c4 pro with Arai helmet and most of the buffeting is gone!!!

I think quite a bit of buffeting is generated by the mirrors. I had more buffeting on the right side than the left and I have noticed that the mirrors were not aloghned the same. Ended up moving the right mirror slightly toward myself and most of the buffeting Is gone.

Classic with a standard windshield? How tall are you? I am 6ft and get quite a bit of helmet shake over 65. Schuberth c4 pro helmet.

Took the windshield off. Way better up to 70mpg.

Has anyone figured out the terrible helmet buffeting issue with the classic? Is it the low windshield? Is it for looks only? It is strange that BMW would release a motorcycle with such poor wind protection. Is 18b the answer?

I realized the same thing. The wind goes around the fuel tank then up the chest and hits the helmet from below.

I wonder why BMW went with such a low windshield. Any ideas? I installed a X-creen spoiler and it made a world of a difference. No buffeting. Maybe there is a company that can make a custom to measure windscreen?

What happens at 75 map without a screen? Less buffeting?

I installed Day Rider seat and it feels slightly lower than stock classic seat. It also pushes you closer the the bars. I am not sure if it is more comfortable. it feels as I am getting a bit more turbulence from the windshield, could just be my imagination.
