Depending on the deal, I’d buy and leave it with them until they can fix it. Lots of our European members here are getting their bikes fixed. Looks like we’re seeing some North American folks scheduling fixes now.

for cheaper money, you get a way better jacket with the Klim I posted a few posts above. AA rated, level two armor and back pad included for $300. This BMW jacket is only A rated, looks like level one armor and no included back pad. And $400. Easy choice.

Even vented, a full leather jacket in Florida heat will be miserable. From my experience, even 80° in a vented leather, or even a perforated leather, is uncomfortably hot. Can’t imagine 90° with that Florida humidity. Unless you’re looking to drop weight from sweating out, get a purpose-made...

Is it $400 if you don’t un-tune? I thought it was $200 for either case. Sucks though, and I should have waited after they removed my reverse wires to redo the BT. I’ll be asking BT for an update whenever they get to the fix here in the states. Impatience gonna cost me yet again.

I called around to kick tires on a 2024 Goldwing. Was soft-quoted about $8500 trade on my R18B, with the guy telling me it's a pretty niche market bike and that winter is a terrible time for sellers. With that, I'm really looking forward to another season on the B!

Correct - we haven't seen anyone the forum receive notice yet. We've been told that BMW does a slow-roll of parts distribution, and it appears the closer you are to Berlin, the quicker you're getting taken care of. I'd expect March to early-April at this point, but sadly wouldn't be surprised...

Unless you store your bike in the elements (and even then), there's zero reason to go in to get the reverse disconnected. The $1000 accessory incentive is gone so you're only taking your time to go in to then have to go back again once the real fix hits us in the states, which I would expect to...

Pretty accurate to my own experience. I do find it wakes the bike up enough to make it “better”, but the cost is pretty insane for what you get.
