Maybe it's not the engine, it's the suspension and rough roads breaking the headlights? An overall under engineered headlight, structurally, causing it to fail.

Think long and hard about putting on a sidecar on these, what with the rate of headlight failures and price /cost to get a new headlight. You might just want to lemon law your bike back to BMW if your headlight fails.

It's your head light or tail light circuit. Either hot wire or ground wire, usually brown, has lost contiuity, or a bulb failed. Turn your bike power on at night and see which o light is out, of all your running lights.

Look up this code E58C04 The 0x at the beginning, since you tried to clear the code, means it's happened zero times since you attempted to clear it. Otherwise, take your bike in for the next 6000 or 12000 mile service and see if BMW clears it out when resetting your service interval
