Just to throw in my 2¢ ... I have a Corbin custom seat ... it is very comfortable and I like it very much, but it is not on the 'inexpensive' side ... even though i thought it would be worth it ... 2 + years after buying it, the leather started peeling ... Corbin says they only guarantee it for...

What did you use .. Yamabond, 1211 or whatever the BMW equivalent is?

Thanks for the pics! ... I somehow assumed that the stator is outside the oil cavity ... it appears that is not the case. ;) Oh and sorry about your bad luck with the oil leak.

Hmmm just to throw my 2¢ in ... I use Bel-Ray Gear Saver Hypoid Gear Oil 80W-90 and it has worked for me ... it says it is rated API GL-5 and seems to work good for me ...

So ... a quick foot note to this. I did recheck the tire pressure cold and it was at 35 PSI ... that should be well within tolerances (unless you are in Moto GP) ... so I did go to 39 pounds cold and I noticed something ... more often than not when I coast down to a stop I take my hands off the...

The 911 only needs WiFi for the service reminder function .. all others (as far as I know) will work via peer-to-peer WiFi generated right of the device ... but if you want to do the service reminder you will need a independent WiFi network ... having said that, the 911 may not be for you then...

Thanks! I was thinking the exact same thing ... back in the days (waaaay back) I was happy if a tire lasted me 3 to 5000 miles ... I wrote different bikes and a lot more 'bonkers' ... I was hoping these big cruisers would have tires to last a bit longer. But the 'cupping' and really uneven wear...

I am sorry ... but i tend to trust the specs that a manufacturer casts on his tires a whole lot more than a hallucinating AI/Chat Bot ... I will see what BMW recommends ... looks like 36 PSI The manual says: (although I find it funny that there is a con-rod and piston depicted by 'Front Tire...

Hmmm ... that would be an easy test .. I will up the pressure slightly above the recommended pressure ... the only problem with that is that 'round here it gets mighty hot in Summer and that will raise the pressure even more ... but I cross that bridge when I get there ;)

Whatever is written om the tire and recommended by the manufacturer ... couldn't tell you how much I have to look it up every time I check it ... ;)

Hmmm that sounds like something to look at ... the fork feels soft enough ... but maybe a lighter oil might be something easy to test out ... lets see what I can come up with on the weekend .. we have enough off-road shops 'round here they should have a variety of oils on hand ... Thanks all!

I don't know how to more visualize it for you ... but be assured that this is some bumpy wear and in well over 40 years of riding I never had tires wear like this ...

It is a bit hard to see ... but it is wearing really uneven and some of the thread is already 'cupped out' (if that is a word) down to the bottom of the thread.
