Could it be simply some issue with the electrical plug connection that one has to unplug to remove the tank? ... a bad connection there could throw a fault ... and you tapped on the tank and that seem to fix it ... do you know if the tank was removed before? I had mine off a couple of times and...

Actually this is Wunderlich ... I had a friend pick me one up in Germany and send it to me couple years back ... I was going to make my own bracket ... but it seems there is a difference between the German model and the US one ... I was told that the US version does not work with the OEM...

Same here .. I use the 'Memphis' brackets but made my own piece of polycabonate (that should count)... smooth as silk at higher speeds.

You may have already fixed it ... but if indeed the terminals/battery connections were in that bad a shape it ... that could be a fault that has to be cleared with a tool ... did you clear the fault with an OBD tool of sorts? ... and yes, the dealer could have messed up something at the service...

Do you own a GS-911 or some other OBD diagnostics tool? It will tell you more what is throwing that fault ... the message your on board screen gives you is a bit too generic to make any statements IMO ... ... now it really could be just a low fuel warning ... I have a 'FE' so my readout is even...

I fully agree ... and IMO the same counts for the gearbox ... i think it calls for 1.15 l ... but my oil comes in 1 l bottles ... so I use 1 l and had no issues at all.
