I've only put 12,000 miles on my '22, as we have a relatively short riding season. However, about 6,000 of that has been LD riding with 300-500 mile days. The TC handles it well. I'm 67 and this scooter fits me well.

Interesting. Your description is excellent. I hope you're reasoning is correct but I think you're likely right. BMW boxers are well-known for long break-in periods. My R1150GS didn't fully break in until almost 20k miles, and the difference was noticeable. My R18 TC has only 12k miles on it now...

Fleabag, excellent haul! Are those reservoir covers (77 12 2 469 269) the machined aluminum black with the unfinished ('silver') aluminum ridges, similar to the RSD ones? Or are they the completely black covers? The "two-tone" description is throwing me. Did they come as a pair or single? Thanks
