"Fault in the engine control" warning on R18B [SOLVED]

How do you like the iCarsoft tool? The picture you attached; looks like it lets you monitor transient voltage signals in realtime, while manipulating the different groups of wires? What does the iCarsoft call that function or menu screen?

"Fault in the engine control" warning on R18B [SOLVED]

I've been checking my tire's TPS PSI sensor values for both tires, as well as the battery voltage while riding a LOT this week (I just topped off my air pressure) and the Model B battery reports 14.2 V consistently Ohm's law will drive up current, at lower voltages; a bad battery putting out...

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

Ahhh yes, I zoomed in and see what you are talking about; that's a good idea, and it looks like the lift has a pretty wide stance as well.. 👍🏻

    More Faults?!?!

I doubt it... I was expecting to see something closer to 13.8 V; I'd say the stator is doing its job.

    Jack/Lift for the R18?

Yikes.. that height makes me nervous; especially if removing a front or rear wheel, where a shift in weight could cause the bike to slide off of the lift.. I've lifted my Model B as an exploratory example; however, I maintain my Model B (oil, transmission and rear bevel gear oil) and even did...

    More Faults?!?!

I just happened to look at my bike's TPS psi and battery voltage (14.2 V) over the last couple of recent rides this week... I was actually more interested in the front and rear tire's PSI values, which are almost spot on,.depending on when I take the measurement (temperature sensitive).

    More Faults?!?!

My Model B typically shows 14.2 V on the TFT while I'm riding.. I was expecting something closer to 13.8 V or so..

    More Faults?!?!

I've only had the TPS warning lights go berserk on my 22 First Edition Model B, on the very last stretch of a six hour ride; I think, or at least have a theory that it was co-channel radio interference that the TPS sensors use to communicate with the ECU... It showed the front and rear tires to...

    More Faults?!?!

It looks like your bike is wet; curious, is it from riding in the rain or was it recently washed or power washed? I think the mentioned side lights, are actually within the headlight assembly for the TC and Model B. Headlights were replaced under a recall campaign a year or two ago; perhaps...

"Fault in the engine control" warning on R18B [SOLVED]

I would try and ride the bike as much as possible, between now and the time that the dealership picks up the bike; even better, ride it to the dealership... At least have the dealership unfaaaak your fuel gauge.. Is the new fuel pump currently installed, possibly causing the fuel gauge error?
