    Scooby's paints touch-up paint

Call your BMW service shop and ask them for the Mars Red paint code for your bike; or perhaps, someone will post on the forum for you. Example: my 2022 Model B FE is black, which has a BMW paint code of ND2; I provided that information to the body shop, who mixed the paint for me - which was a...

OEM vs. “cheap” 3rd-party leg shields

I always prefer to go with the OEM parts and accessories; unless, there is a compelling improvement in quality from a 3rd party manufacture - i.e. I prefer the fitted WeatherTech rubber winter mats vs the Tesla OEM fitted rubber mats. I had the Engine Protection Bar installed at the time of...

@tngarren - any chance, did you log the fault codes for the various repairs that you made on your salvage project; if so, can you post them so that we can start to compile a list of associated fault codes, matched with an appropriate fix?

    Information Fault

Any chance, do you own an OBD-II tool that would allow you, to scan for any fault codes? Any updates, did the issue ever return; perhaps, could it be related to the fuel pump overheating due to a low fuel level in the tank?

"Fault in the engine control" warning on R18B [SOLVED]

To add to @Ulrich thoughts; I do recall that early on within the forum discussions, Model B and TC owners had reported cracked wires within the wire-harness, up near the steering tube on both sides. Again, since it looks like you have the fuel tank removed; this is a good opportunity to closely...

Need Help 2021 BMW R18 FE does not crank unless boosted. When boosted cranks but doesnt start.

The Control Unit on the R18 Model B is located under the seat pan area, near the rear strut; perhaps, try looking at those connections as a possible water ingress point from power washing..?

"Fault in the engine control" warning on R18B [SOLVED]

Since you have your fuel tank removed; now is a good time, to upgrade the brittle plastic fitting with a stainless steel piece: See the following forum thread with additional fuel pump diagrams: https://www.r18forums.com/threads/low-fuel-warning-will-not-reset.4279/post-57572
