My last S1KR was a 2019 with 165hp. But, now BMW has announced a S1000R, shift cam, with 210hp. I enjoyed that bike! This one should be double the joy!

And this is why, when I started the valve adjustment thread, I asked if I is possible for valves clearance to get looser (more gap) then a new motor. When I did my 6k clearance, several were at the max, and 2 were @ 0.33-0.35. I suspect that at the 12k, they will all show, less clearance, then...

Yeah, but it could be a BMW thing as well. It would be nice to have options available, for those that want performance mods, for the R18 platform.

5 & 6 on my TC are gloss black. The bike itself is Matte.

Makes me wonder about the RSD R1800 that BMW was displaying for a bit. I know it had a nitrous bottle. I wonder about other mods...

The marks at the bottom/top left, of the notches show TDC. Center the notches, and you are at TDC

Software update at the dealer

I wish they offered a true dual sport, in a lightweight package...say 350-400 lbs.

72 H1 500 triple, chambers, Barnett clutch. When that bike hit the power band, it screamed! I had a 74 H2 750 triple, that I swear, the 500 was faster.

I used the video as well, but the specs are incorrect. Both intake and exhaust specs are the same. 0.20-0.30 I am sure, as I did my 6k recently. Message me with any questions

So was I, that included the costly valve cover gaskets @ $175 each. Not all dealers quote them in the estimate. I found another dealer that quoted me approx $300 for it.

Dealers are required to take a minimum of 1or 2 of every model. Manufacturers will also ship bikes, say force ship, but they will carry the bikes for a term. So, the dealer isn't on the hook for (floor plan/interest). I am sure on heavy discount models, that the manufacturer, gives them a spiff...

Off, bike upright, engine at operating temp. So, ride the bike several miles, shut it off, wait 5 minutes or more, and check it with the bike upright.
