Then u take your hands off the bars at speed (60+ in my instance), and the handle bars wobbles back and forth.. As soon as I put my hand back on the bar, it stopped.

When my TC was new, I did...and no pull. I did it a week or so again, but with a almost worn out front tire, and got a slight tank slapper. I checked the bike out, and nothing is loose. I am gonna mention it, when I get the tire replaced in a few weeks.

GS911, I have used the tool for 9 different BMW motorcycles.

Page 58 in the owners manual, shows how to set the pre-load, i.e. rear suspension. Use that info, to set it, using your weight and gear. It doesn't state the factory setting. But, the factory setting is, hard as a rock, and will jar your back, and teeth.

Motoring, I am willing to bet, that your suspension is set to "shipping" condition. Way off, from where it should be. It only takes a few minutes to set it correctly, and changes the ride completely.

There will be a point where the adjustment bolt rotates freely. Just keep going to the left and it should stop.

I agree.. the TC is the most stable bike I have ridden, and I have ridden almost everything out there.

Excellent write up! I believe that our initial readings were the same, and we both set the clearance the same. I like your method...I used 4 separate feeler gauges at once, lol.
