Seem identical to the Michelin tires so far. My bike didn't come with H50's.

I just replaced the Michelin tires at 9,700 miles. Like you, the front was shot and the rear had plenty left. I replaced both with Metzler 888's.

Reduced the price on everything... $200 for 2 shields, mounting hardware, and lower deflectors... Retail is approx $550+ if purchased from Madstad ..

I traded my R18 yesterday, so I have a few parts for sale. Madstad quick release screen/ 16” & 18”, complete setup Madstad quick release lower deflectors $200 gets the whole sha-bang!! All are in great condition Pickup in (Jax, Fl) I am out of town now, but have attached a few pics for reference.

Plug it, order a kit from Amazon any motorcycle store will carry them.

Where on the tire is the screw? Center or sides?

So, I have 9k+ on the Michelin III’s. The front is toast, but the rear is good. I am thinking about switching to Metzeler M888 marathon tires. Anyone have experience with them. I am not really satisfied with the Michelins, for various reasons. Any thoughts?

I agree with Ulrich. I have performed 3 valve checks on R18’s. No pin is required to prevent cylinder movement. The older boxers had a place for the pin to slide in, these do not!
