I don't get it. I bought my R18 because I dislike Harley (lack of) engineering, and their price. Looked at Indian and they want more money for bike with more plastic that they desperately try to market as "upscale". The R18 was not even on my radar and I accidentally found out about them but...

I finally got to take the bike out last night and the SharkRoad slip ons gave a nice tone stock. A little bit snappier throttle response but no noticeable power increase. Came home and took out the baffles. The sound without the baffles is amazing. Not too loud at idle, and nice on the highway...

I just installed a set of SharkRoad slip ons last night. Even though my bike is new, I had a hell of a time getting the OEM muffler off their respective bungs. Any advice for next time I need to remove them? (I am thinking tire change)

I had the same issue with my 2023 B model. Hot day and some higher speeds. Cleaned off the muck and it has not returned. Keeping an eye on it but I would have to agree that this was the initial mounting grease that became viscous enough to seem out of the weep hole. Not worried about it yet...

I just looked through the manual and cannot find a picture or description of what that thing is. Any help would be appreciated.

In the middle of the Windscreen. I am thinking the dark smoke is going to trick it into thinking it is dark all the time. I ordered the KlockWerks dark screen and will report back if I have any issues. You can see it in this picture:

Does anyone know if the smoke shield will mess with the light sensor? I am concerned that it will make the navigation maps hard to read during the day.

I listen to 3 radio stations in my area. I have been able to store them as favorites. But I cannot figure out how to go directly from one favorite to another. Read the manual, did an internet search. Nothing. What am I missing? Please help.

If anyone is looking for a 1/2 cover that is compact, the Ultraguard Goldwing cover fits very nicely. I had this one new left over from my Goldwing and decided to try it out. Stores in my saddlebag very compactly.

Roadstyler backrest and rack came in today. Had a buddy help me so I didn't need to unplug the wires to the bag. Well built!

I have no problems with this app. All I have to do is make sure my music app is open (YouTube music). Can not say why mine works well compared to the problems others are having. Love this bike and app! Pixel 8 pro phone.

By the way… The trip computer told me that I averaged 49mpg over the 380 miles home. I have no idea if that is accurate or even close. Another question, do we have to run premium gas (93 octane) or can I use mid grade (90 octane)? I know the owners manual says 87 octane is ok but it is not...

I did the service today and reset the maintenance minder. Easy Peasy.

I put in 800 miles down and back. Love the new BMW. Adaptive Cruise was awesome. I slept for 12 hours. Now off to do the first service and reset the maintenance.
