Added a reverse handle today.
Disclaimer, I bought it from ebay. It's garbage lol the locking nut stripped for the Handle and the screws that hold it to the handle are sketchy...
When this falls off I'll go buy the Wunderlich version...
Before and after pics:
Update: there is zero room to add a spacer 🙁
Not really sure I want to hack up these turn signals, for a solution that probably shouldn't have existed in the first place.
So I am abandoning the project, I apologize.
Attached are the fitment tabs on both parts.
Since they are similar, I would say go for it, but I'm just taking an educated guess.
I'll be going down this road after my 600 mile service, so I will be following.
Please update us on the progress.
Interesting concept, my only concern is drainage. With the material there where else, is all the water going to go.
I only worry about these thing because I've run into wiring issues in the past. Shorted out my aux lights and cellphone charger in a mean thunderstorm.
If it rains I usually pull...
While I was give the R18B a quick rub down with some liquid detailer, I noticed some exposed fuses:
I got curious and removed the cover:
So I called the dealership and the dealer said it was normal.
Is it just me?I See these fuses out exposed to the elements just surprises me. There...
Hopefully I'll have something mocked up by Monday afternoon. Figured I'd start with a cardboard cut out then overlay it over a piece of kydex. Cut that out and then clean it up.
Thats why i thought to channel it... if it slips over you'll never have to unplug. Is there something Im missing? Assuming theres enough wiggle room to install a spacer.
I'm almost sure the spacers for the stock bagger turn signals will work. I received one winglet last night lol just one... the other one must still be in Germany...
Anywho it's a brisk 30 degrees this morning and don't feel like working on the project, cold weather kills my productivity, even...
I have the engine guards and leg rests at the powder coater to match the rest of bike in black gloss. Didn't know about the lower leg wind protectors, would you have a part number/Link and or pictures?
Eventually I'd like to add Clearwater lights and I have the aux light bar on my wish list...
Dibs on your top case if and when 😂😂😂
The white is nice, wish that were an option available when i went on my hunt for my bagger, as I loved my K in white.
I've got the manhattan metallic now. Love the color but I feel its going to be more of a pain to maintain than the white 🙁
I have a piece of kydex laying around from a previous project. Since I'm waiting for the winglets I may pop a turn signal off and try to make my own spacer.
I had the air deflectors on the k1600gt and on those really hot August days the ability to flip them out and get a little more air helped...
I should've take a couple of more pictures. The flap on the back is quite long over the purse now. If my bracket was lower you wouldn't be able to see the bracket at all without the purse 🤷🏻♂️
I called Andy up when I installed it because the bracket was so tall and I remember your video about it being flush with the seat.
He too said it should be flush with the seat, so he's looking into it.
One plus side to this bracket being longer... the backrest folds flat down, so when you...
Backrest and 7jurock 20" screen installed today.
I may have been sent the wrong seat bracket. As the bracket sits about 2- 2-1/2" above the seat. Will update when I get a solution.
