    Reverse gear issue

I have had it stick once or twice, but I have also learned that you cannot have any load on it. There is a slight incline from my driveway to garage and it would do the same.

The R18 Real world review from your very own R18Forums Moderator

When doing slow maneuvers, only use the rear brake. Best course I ever took was an advanced ride course. Really opened my eyes to how to control your bike as if it were part of you.

The R18 Real world review from your very own R18Forums Moderator

Thank you for the compliment. I have done a little bit of PLP (Parking Lot Practice) and once I got used to the seating position I found it to be very stable at slow speeds. I have not got to the point of doing a full lock to lock figure 8 yet, but can easily make a U-Turn on a 2-Lane road...

Cruise Control / Tempomat K34 on First Edition

Several BMW models have Cruise Control as a Retrofit kit. For the R18, one needs to replace the left side switchgear, the Throttle control and recode the ECU. That is the same items/process as retrofitting cruise control on the S1000XR.

    A Perfect Fit

Sweet!!!!! Love your setup @theMucker! I only store my toys in this one or do an occasional detailing. It’s the place for me to relax. The workshop isn’t anywhere near as nice.

Setting the proper preload for the rear suspension

The R18 have replaceable “Rub Nuts” on the bottoms of the pegs, the R1200C doesn’t have these. Both bikes are spring loaded so as not to dig in and cause a loss of control.

    Coveting an R18.

If it is in transit then it was an allocation that was already produced. Sounds like Santa heard your call and made it happen.
