Dog installed, pottered over the ´high street´, stopped in the shade to start recording. Out of the village over the bridge opened up into third and... the support was shook to bits. To flew off with camera. Saw it bouncing off. Stoppd in the berm. Turned around, stopped in the berm. Put the dog...
...and ex+1 fell back again.
Meanwhile the dog and tortoises are
Getting on with the GoPro. Have the hardware sorted, the software installed.
Expect a learning curve for recording and probably need help with downloading/uploading because I use Linux.
This thread is wonderful illustration of what the human mind, imagination can come up with.
Allowing ambient air into the openings the engineers originally had imagined for that, increases air flow, lowering the temp.
Tested and proven by accelerometer and time to top speed (one up and two up)...
Just the front one. Some builders have the front top mounting lower or stick out way further tto clear the valve cover. I thought this strongest/stiffest.
Also did not bend. Bought an elbow. All tubes cut to size, inserted close fitting tubes in the two joints, V-channeled all to insert; weld...
it is mainly snake oil.
Even on direct injection which has more issues with fouling of intake valves, injectors, misting H2O with the engine running on high idle is basically as effective.
It is thus best done when the air filter needs be replaced. You can the mist it into de air box.
....the next episode from the gift that keeps on 'giving'; the wonderful world of wimmins.
This morning the ex+1 volunteered that shé would love being sidecar passenger :unsure:
We men can understand dogs and certainly tortoises; women... don´t even trý.
She does meet all the criteria...
Looking 🤩
Am véry happy to read this.
Looking forward to mounting details; even more to antics and adventures 💪
The fitting on the sidecar chassis look impressive. The two open tubes are front lower and rear lower. That makes top frop and top rear obvious. AND YOU HAVE THE FIFTH MOUNTING!!!!
the 'measured' values on a dyno are ... relative. Depends on the parameters put in.
Again like an accelerometer app.
It is completely useless to compare results from different dynos or apps.
Their value lies in before/after results. Again forget kW, Nm and just look at the delta in %.
Ah and...
For a better understanding; the rolling road dynometers are accelerometers.
As such their results are to all extends and purposes the same as in/on vehicle apps.
Hhhhót out here today.
Over 30 C. before 09.00.
Now at a venta for coffee and water. Have the backpack loaded with metal cased laptop and tortoise green harvesting stuff. Pretty hard core on the bicycle but operacion bikini rules.
What that has to do with the threas subject?
Simple. I also...
The simplest would be enlarging the top opening. Now thát would imo need a mesh to discourage rodents to overwinter up there. For the rest it would not do much harm to do away with the filter entirely unless you plan do cross the Sahara or go do rally raids. Normal road use sees not much dirt...
