This morning fitted a connection in the wiring between bike and sidecar. Should have done that when connecting but at the time was completely stressed out about the CANbus. The Vespa rig is now on my name. Next is getting it through periodic inspection. Then drive it up. Four short words for a...

optical illusion  120/70 x 19 vs 4.00 x 19 sidecar. The 120 measures júst under 120 mm. wide. No, not over the curve, actual width. The 4.00 is ... 100 mm.

You never had a NotSoModern (two stroke, hand shift) Vespa; Italian aircraft engineering.

    R18 Louvered Performance Plates

Look at the original gills. ´Same´thing. Unless you drown the thing fording, it will be ok. ´Vroegah´ bikes breathed in even without the filter housing like the R18 has; just through a gauze or nothing even. The only problem was freezing up; the evaporating fuel extracting heath from the water...

    Exhaust Servo

It is ONLY a ´Bobby dodger´ mechanism to meet EU sound emission tests; specifically the roll by and accelerate. Removing will increase the sound under those conditions. If not audibly, it registers on the dB meter.

Depends. This 150 has 9 hp and solo gets up to 90 km/h. Remember it is a Vespa ´large frame´ with 10" wheels., two stroke, hand shift. with tricky clutch and euhhhmmm :eek:interesting drum brakes. The design goes back to 1957 with just some marginal updates. They are let´s say an off main roads...

    Iconic Pictures with R18

The R18 models are a bit surprising for mé in this aspect. I have owned and ridden a great many motorbikes over the 50+ yeasr of motorcycling as life ´style´ but this is the the first one with that this markedly. I have not put it on scales (maybe someone can?) but I suspect that the weight...

Thanks for sharing @R2K Heavy being close to 600 kgs. and with the torque of the R18 still quite a lively thing. I meanwhile have been out with the Nimbus rig and also, with the Vespa went have a look at a NotSoModern (2 stroke shifty) Vespa rig. Want it!!

I am sorry but that has become a bit of a moot thing imo. I respect the rights of others, will do no harm, help others, but for the rest 🤐 Like things past sell by date, if it does not kill you ....:ROFLMAO:

(But wait there's) More crash bar discussion - DKdesign - BMW R18 Side Crash Guards

I enter and exit going forward. Even with the lightweight 100 kg Vespa so go figure the R18. Even now with the sidecar I do.

    The R18 sidecar thread

btw @R2K If you can, pls ascertain the set up specifics: track width, sidecar wheel lead, toe in, lean out. It would be a perspective for your driving experiences (y) Because it is basically ALL variables with sidecar builds there will always be more to learn and I lóve that. I mean after...

That is übergood news! Thanks for sharing. Had a good look at their fitting solutions. They will have fun with the CANBUS :p Even I managed it so they should need less time. It is a lot! wider than mine. Also a heavier ´chair´ so no risk of it coming up in righthanders. Mentally prepare for...
