Oh, I'm not really disappointed with them. I'm definitely keeping them. Just acknowledging that they're sort of silly for the price. But they do keep with the theme of the side cover pieces, which I really do like.

I've spent $300 on dumber things, but I'd have to think about it a bit to come up with something. They are marginally more attractive than the stock covers, but just.

My Dealer (in Maryland) is aware of the update. I brought my bike in around early July specifically for this fuel pump noise. At that time, the dealer hadn't heard of the issue, and a search of the BMW database turned up nothing. I went back in this weekend, and they had the PUMA reference...

I actually dig the gas cap (I think).

Not to any significant degree. Pegs / brake / shift levers are well outboard of that anyway... Having said that, the things are definitely over-priced, but still worth it to me...

My experience with the Classic windscreen along with anecdotes from others here.... I'm 6'0 by the way * At low speeds (less than 60mph) buffeting isn't terrible. The thing rattles though. Somebody here had a fix for that, but I don't recall what it was. Over 60 and there is buffeting and...

As much as I say it doesn't bug me, good on you Gerard if you identify a fix. If it works, I'll definitely pursue it!

It takes 30 seconds and requires no tools. Super easy.

Takes 5 minutes. There are studs that stick out of the rear fender that are visible with the bags off, but they aren’t unsightly. I regularly remove / replace the bags and the windscreen. The windscreen is even easier to remove.
