When you say first service, do you mean the break in service at 600 miles or the first true service at 1K?

It still makes me wonder if the existing switch would work. On my bike that button is simply doesn't have the mark identifying it as an auxiliary light switch. But there is clearly tactile feedback as if its indeed a button that doesn't do anything because its not hooked up to anything. Stock...

Can also confirm I received those same plastic things with other BMW OEM parts. I believe these are to attach to the box the parts come into somehow to hang on a display rack.
