The Dealership said no. Once you alter the vehicle the warranty is void on the OEM part itself. it has to be the r18b adaptive headlight housing. BTW I'm not just waiting on a light bulb. its a sealed unit.

When did they have 5? It does help us. We can order them direct from Germany. I doubt there are any because even corporate said there aren't any.

Update: Spoke with BMW Corporate several times, seems like theres nothing they can do about the delay. Still no eta and there are 88 in the US that are back ordered.

Nope Bikes at the dealership waiting for parts on warranty work. 2167 miles and the headlight broke, none in stock worldwide

Update headlight is back ordered no eta... so she sits at the dealership until further notice 🙁

Hit the power button to let the phone sync while I put on my gloves and helmet, Mount(bike is straight) then start the motor. Why? It also spends all it time on a Stand in the garage... the kickstand is only used on trips.

Supposedly, this is common on all adaptive headlight options.

I would disagree, with the way mine failed the plastic parts could come in contact with the led itself and catch fire or cause electrical issues.

Calibrations not going to do it. I can see where the plastic parts inside just sheared off 🙁

Well I became a victim tonight... noticed I didnt have any light down the road... the entire housing from the inside came apart 🙁 2167 miles on her exact... Is my riding season over? Do they stock these now? I was planning on heading over to Tennessee from NJ in August 😢

That the best I can do for comparison, if you're on the wall about it, just do it. Improves low speed handling and reduces driver fatigue. If you ever come to south jersey, let me know we can meet up and compare

I also have this issue. went as far as positioning the grey key with a pair of pliers right over the sensor under the seat to get the bike started.

BMW does a good job, with ergonomics. they come with valve stems facing the right side, so when the bike is on its kick stand, all you have to do is position the valve stem most comfortable for you to reach. I've done it twice, wasn't difficult at all.

I'd be interested in the bracket itself. I haven't had much luck with parts fitting with my k1600gt. So I don't have much faith in it. for other stuff such as sunglasses or waterproof bags, yeah I've purchased them, but I'm a little weary on direct fit stuff. I guess it's "you get what you pay...
