    Welcome from southern Nevada

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your bike. Way different to the super smooth K engines. The R18 shakes like a wet dog and has a distinctive valves song, but it is part of the package and self induced and I really like it (some may not 😂😂😂) Anyway, post a picture of your B when you get a...

    Hard starting

Just a thought as the failure to start up first time has been discussed previously on other topics. All the points flagged here are valid but I believe that if the above were the root cause, then it would affect all R18 engines. Now, for those having issues starting the bike either hot or cold...

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new bike.

    Quick Oil Level Check

This is what I do. With the bike upright, as long as the oil is anywhere inside the red circle then you are good to go. I use the mobile phone to take a video in case the camera does not take an accurate picture because I don’t have a bike stand. Overfilling the engine with oil is not a good...

@u20251009 I have been very fortunate to have enjoyed 3 years of trouble free biking with my R18. We have E10 (10% ethanol) fuels here in the UK but I exclusively use Shell V Power E 5 as this is the one I consider to be the best available fuel. I use my bike to commute 3 days a week on...

Another culprit could be the charcoal canister. The charcoal canister is part of the EVAP system, which recycles fuel vapors from the gas tank. If the canister is clogged or cracked, it can't do its job, leading to an improper air-fuel mixture in the engine, which can cause a no-start condition...

Hello from Kingston - shopping for first cruiser

You and I brother. I wear an open face helmet all year round. Over the winter months, I just wrap a biker’s scarf around my neck (not a fan of it flying around, so I tuck it in) and I swap my summer jacket for a heavy bomber jacket and a set of Red Wings gloves. Comfy as hell when you have the...

Hello from Kingston - shopping for first cruiser

As it happens, I am at the dealership today to do my first MOT (compulsory vehicle inspection in the UK after 3 years of service) and check these new bikes that are for sale, the blue TC partially wrapped just came in.

Hello from Kingston - shopping for first cruiser

8K on a R18 is nothing and if it has been serviced by the dealer, even better. To put it into perspective, 3 years ago my Bagger costed £27K, that is a lot of coins. I managed to get a discount and a good price for my M109R so I pulled the trigger. She has every option under the sun and I am...
