Take pictures of what - my wallet? The cradle just pulls out. Lift up the top and pull to see for yourself what's under there.

I just took the cradle out and use the space to store my wallet. My phone doesn't fit in the cradle.

Check with your dealer to see if they can find a wrecked / salvaged R18 motor to source a cam shaft. I know my dealer has access to an online system that they use to source used parts for BMW bikes from dealers / shops around the U.S.

I installed a RAM mount for my cell phone on the handlebars - works fine.

It doesn't make all that much difference with stick exhaust. I noticed the bigfest difference at idle and roll off after I changed the mufflers.

My dealer will install them for you if you want as part of a routine service for little or no charge depending on what else you're having done.

I doubt there would be a huge difference in idle noise with the stock mufflers. But I can sure tell a difference with the aftermarket ones I have, and I noticed with the drilled out stock ones.

I did that on my Freedom Performance mufflers, and have done the same with V&H mufflers on one of my Harleys years past. It made a big difference in tone on the R18 Freedom Performance exhaust. It's a little louder, too. My wife prefers it, if that counts :)
