Yes I’m happy with them. I replaced the bolts that came with it with BMW Torx heads when I installed them after I had put the bike away for the winter last fall. If you see this thread it will give you some detailed information on my experience with installing them...
They came with mine (Yes I have the Horning) but I've never used them. I can't see me putting my feet up on the bars. Most of my rides are small back country roads where it's not unusual that I need to put my feet down quickly. I know I'm not helping you very much.
See https://www.shopbmwmotorcycles.com/search?search_str=backrest .
Maybe these have been there a while. I have no idea when they showed up but a few months ago I checked with my local dealer and they didn't have any backrest parts showing up in their systems. I checked MaxBMW's website...
I bought the R18 Classic in August of 2021 and the bagger wasn’t available yet. The BMW demo days truck came through in June and I had a chance to ride the Base at the end of one day after riding a bunch of bikes including the RT. The Base model blew me away. I came back and rode the Classic the...
I’d love to hear how this install goes if you use the Harley Davidson Universal Saddlebag Lock Kit. Here’s a link to it here:

Pbosik,
Your avatar shows the Wunderlich on your bike but you like the Roadstyler. Is the Roadstyler on your bike now? Which one do you like better if price wasn't an issue and why? I'm favoring the Wunderlich since it adds a little more space between the passenger seat pad and the bottom of...
From taking a quick measurement, it looks like the Mustang Weekender seat is an inch and a half to 2 inches thicker than the stock seat. I’m considering getting the Wunderlich backrest for my Classic that has the Weekender seat. Whether it is a Classic or not, if you have the Weekender seat and...
R18C,
Actually what you said might be just what I need to know. I’m trying to attach an accessory and I only needed to connect to the positive battery terminal.
I understand that there is a jump start terminal on the right side. i looked just now and it appears you can simply unscrew the...
Hi,
I have an R18 Classic. I have to pull my battery out. I’ve looked in the manual and removed the retaining strap and I’m holding up on the snap-in lug (plastic clip at the top left of the battery) and this thing won’t move. Also there doesn’t seem to be any good place to grab the battery...
Adrian,
The plug on the left of the bike is for charging using a Can Bus charger which uses a different method than directly connecting a charger to the battery using spring connectors or the pigtail connector. Some chargers like the Optimate 4 provide both connectors that can be swapped. You...
HanseDavion I love those Roland Sands rims. I have the clutch and brake covers on my Classic and those rims would be an excellent addition. While I really like having saddlebags it’s too bad that the rear wheel is covered up. Your rear wheel is gorgeous. Now I’m afraid to find out what that...
