Mean City Cycles said they do not work on heated seats. They do pretty work otherwise. I'll check out the Russell. I don't think an extra inch will be a problem.

Ok, got my first quote today from a custom bike builder. He quoted ~$500 to do the tank if I remove the tank and bring it to him. At that rate, I'd hate to add the bags and fairing. He said he would buff down the existing clear coat, add the stripes, then re-clearcoat the tank.

Word of warning...the Wunderlich pegs are right hand threaded. The natural motion of shifting tends to loosen them despite application of thread locker. Check them frequently.
