Finally, I pulled the trigger on a 2022 BMW R18B First Edition. It was a tough decision but I think I made the right choice coming from a 2015 Indian Chief Vintage. I would like to thank all that posted their thoughts & comments it’s a big help!!!!! When I get pics I will post them.
Thanks again
Scott
Beautiful bike looking at the same one 2022. I did use the front brake as you mentioned was very careful when using it during the test ride. Thanks again for your input. And I keep in touch if I make the deal.
Hey Big Jim Slim
My exact description of my test ride yesterday. It did put a damper on the feel for the bike but I realize adjustments can be made I have to think about it this weekend and get back to the dealer on Monday
Thanks
Today finally was able to take the R18B for a road test. Very different from the v-twin smooth ride had it on the Roll mode.
My problem was getting used to the foot controls. It seemed I was missing when shifting & had difficulty in finding the rear brake. I was concerned about slow maneuvers...
I actually was looking at the Roadmaster also. Since I have the Vintage was thinking to move up to the Roadmaster or Chieftain. I just think this bike has a lot to offer. Thanks
I have been a V-twin rider for over 20+ years. And am looking to make a change. Really like the BMW just want to have all the information appreciate your time & response
I had recently posted a switch from an Indian Chief Vintage to a 2022 BMW R18B which I appreciate all the responses. One major concern is slow speed & parking lot maneuvers due the weight of the bike. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I will be taking a test ride in Dec.
Thanks
