    Final drive leak repair question.....

That’s probably not O-ring leak. Get to the dealer and have it warranted.

    2024 R18 Roctane Touring Build

I agree; while the B and TC are nice, I'm not a fan of the fairings. I think the Classic or Roc with a windshield is the way to go. Same for me as far as the Road King over the Street and Road Glides. I like the hard bags on the Roc and no speakers, which IMO is a waste since Bluetooth helmet...

    2024 R18 Roctane Touring Build

Was looking to upgrade the tank on my Classic but without my own fab shop it’s a lot of work and money for essentially a 50-80 more miles. I’ll upgrade the suspension i stead. Thx for the reply and let me know how the tank upgrade goes. Very curious.

    2024 R18 Roctane Touring Build

Very nice. Was looking at getting a Roctane over a Road King but the lack of windshield put me off. Can you see the headlight mounted speedo with the Classic windshield?

Help/Advice needed for front fork springs replacement

My special fork cap compression tool was my son pushing down on a 2x4 while I screwed the tube into the cap. Worked well and didn’t take too much effort. If you come up with a solo method let us/me know so I can try it next time. I’m sure it’s more of a struggle to get a teenager out of bed to...

Replacing Gas Cap (Reg. vs Locking Gas Cap)

I had the same issue with some cheap Harbor Freight snap ring pliers. Went to a mechanic friend of mine and using his high quality snap-on tools the ring was removed quickly albeit not easily. As a plus my cheap snap ring pliers also corroded in the gulf south humidity within a month.

Help/Advice needed for front fork springs replacement

You can also try Bel-Ray fork oil available at Cycle Gear for $17 per liter. It’s just as good as OEM and comes in various weights.

Fork seal replacement for dummies (me)

They quoted me more to replace the seals. 4 hrs labor at $185/hr plus parts. Was looking at probably $1200 with all taxes and fees. Non BMW shops were quoting $350-$500 with me bringing them the forks, parts and oil; i.e. me taking them off and reinstalling.

Fork seal replacement for dummies (me)

Sharing tips in case anyone else tackles this so you can learn from my mistakes. My 2022 Classic right fork seal was leaking. Having 2 kids in college ($$$$) I decided to save $500 and replace them myself. Tools and supplies needed: 24mm crowfoot wrench and breaker bar - to remove the actual cap...

    Front fork air gap/air chamber?

Ended up using 120mm. 100mm is based on the TC which has a much heavier front end due to fairing and all. Also used Bel-Ray fork oil at 20 wt. So far so good, very nice ride and it eliminated front end dive when braking hard.

    Front fork air gap/air chamber?

Anyone know the air gap for the front fork? All I can find is 120mm but that's after installing the Wilburs fork spring replacement. Tackling a leaky fork seal and looking to save the $500 most shops want ...... kids and Christmas and all that.

    Fork oil

Anyone find more economical solutions to the gasket kit? I have a fork seal leak and just spent $220 on both sets. Seems like highway robbery when typical seals from All-Balls run about $50 for the sets. BTW… using Bel-Ray fork oil at 20w - $18 per liter vice BMW’s $55 and I think it’s the same...

    More engine power .

Check out: Bren Tune - https://bt-moto.com/product/bmw-r18-flash I'd get aftermarket pipes, either DnA or Sprint air filter then have the flash from Bren Tune. It will be expensive, and I don't think the performance gains would be worth it however in terms of looks and sound very much so. Unlike...

    More engine power .

Air filter, pipes and tune; haven’t heard of any engine mods that would do it. If you come up with something let me know.

    Billet Replacement Part

FYI folks…. if you make the same mistake the OEM part is in the attached pic; #9 - the angle connector, not cheap considering it’s a tiny plastic part. I ordered the fuel hose thinking the connector would come with it since it’s shown in the pic but no. So I wait another week for the part. Also...

    My Beach Bar installation

I misspoke saying they weren’t hollow, meant to say I don’t have the skills to drill holes without ripping up the bars. I know my limitations.
