You should ride one if you have the opportunity. They are the smoothest most responsive motorcycle you will ever ride. In the twenty thousand miles I rode mine, never once turned the radio on. The navigation was only used to find my way home. I never programed a destination into the thing, just...
If BMW could move some of the top weight lower some how? When your riding the thing you have about 5 gallons fuel on top of your lap along with all the electronics, navigation and radio. The thing handles very well { road-racer good} you can actually wear the footboards off if you know how to...
At 3000 miles now and really liking this machine. I'm getting ready to do the fluids all of them. I took a 3-hundred-mile ride yesterday and was grinning all the way. I have stripped it to a single rider bike and tossed the windshield too. I added a retro side bag from my nine-t after...
Welcome from up-north Michigan. I also purchased my r-18 to slow down a little. I previously owned a K1600B and could not obey speed limit signs. That speed is addicting and i could not keep it under a ton it so had to go. I have a winter home in central Florida and ride year round. I have only...
I had the first year Evo. motor, it was excellent engine. I ran to 60.000 miles before replacing the cylinder base gaskets. When I pulled it apart, I refreshed the valve seats honed the cylinder walls and installed new rings. When I sold the thing with 90.000 it was running excellent with little...
Yes they do offer a bracket, very pricey. The bag was very expensive from Wunderlich with the bracket. Seems like it cost nearly 500 total for the Nine-T. I had all the stock here and it took a couple hours of cutting out and painting the piece. I tried to sell the bag but everyone tried to...
I had a retro leather/canvas side bag from my Nine-T. It was just laying around, I tried to sell but no luck. I fabricated a bracket and spun a couple spacers on the lathe what do you think?
Not enough sound difference with the flappers wide open to make anybody mad unless you have no mufflers at all. I believe the most sound damping comes from converters. I rode mine with the mufflers laying on the bench, sounded terrible but not that loud. My flappers were still functional at that...
I just did mine RazMan, I got the kit with two in for 70ish. Look on the Revzilla site. They will tell you it will not work but it does. probably rode 500 so far no lites. someone here on the forum recommended them. look back farther in the flapper delete thread. I think they say for S1000...
called the dealer to record warranty differential/final drive leak with one month of standard warranty remaining. I also drew out 30 mils. of lube and took on another hundred miler yesterday. No oil leaks :) so far. I will run it some more today.
Bike has been washed and re-rode to same fresh gear oil trail from prop-shaft seal. I was going to try fluid change again with less amount. This also was previously posted on the matter. With one month left on the warranty I have to figure it out quick.
