I have a bead breaker, then rim protecting plastic pieces to tire spoon the tire off. Then I take them to a small shop for balancing. Seems about 2-3 hundred savings.
Don't know for sure on the side cover pinstripe although mine has none. My motor seems happy 25-2800 rpms. I don't like revving mine to tite but am a retired engine mechanic. I ran mine to 115 mph today, still pulling hard. Not sure on the rpm's though. I ride with no windshield and was holding...
I don't like the sounds of that. they gave me a very hard time for two weeks, wanted pictures and still argued with me. Finally after the back and forth they told me about a different vendor/supplier for those 02 sensor bungs and promised to correct. They said it would be quicker to send their...
When did you order? when did you receive them, just curious. I received my replacement exhaust headers last week but haven't tried them yet. I have to return to summer home and just don't have time to try right now. I measured the length of the 02-sensor bung and appears correct. What is your...
Good news, Madd finally sent the replacement header pipes. They tell me my original set was fabricated with longer 02 sensor bungs by mistake. They did replace but took 8 wks.
Tried every way possible the Madd people are supposedly sending new ones. still waiting on them. They suggested having machined at their expense but I'm at my winter home and have no access. They need shortened quite a bit and Madd said they built them wrong because of supplier change. I can...
I agree with you BigJimSlim. I use the twin stripe leather jacket up to 70 deg. then switch to a mesh "Bilt" brand jacket. I am in south central Florida and try to ride early before noon. I also always use a helmet which can get uncomfortable in the afternoon.
Yes I do realize this. What I did not realize what was under that pretty front cover and now I know. I can see from diagrams and parts diagrams where the stator is and how it's driven.
yes that frt. chrome cover is just for looks, and it is much better looking than the actual cover. Just like the chrome cylinder-head covers. Have you seen any of the customs that don't have the cylinder covers? I could live with it that way.
I too was quite surprised at the set-up Ulrich. I now am wondering about the guide shoes and tensioner life span. I have worked on all the jap stuff they came up with. As a matter of fact my neighbor took his Honda shadow to the wrong place, they told him it needed new cam-chains and tensioners...
Its shown hard to see but is there. It also is chain driven. Behind the cam chain gears in the center with chain drive gear. Now I wonder if there's a chain tensioner involved.
