My R18 came without them, and I think I'd much prefer the front of it with them on. It seems a lot of members may have taken them off and like the look without.

Everything I can find online about this has to do with the RS machined fork covers, I'm talking about these 1793172173007.jpeg

What year is your bike?
 
you and me both, didn't even really figure it was an optional thing until now, I still am hard-pressed to find ones without it before that time.
