Question Speaker

Hello all, looking to find out some info, I have a 2022 R18 transcontinental………
I found out what I thought was a busted speaker in my right side bag, which I noticed when I turn the handlebar all the way to the left, the speaker goes out and when I turn it back straight, it comes back on, so anyone know the fix on this please?

Probably a loose connection when turning the handlebars. In the pursuit of clean lines and minimalistic exposure, there is not an awful amount of slack on cables and lines. If the connectors are solid at both ends, chances are one of the cables is probably breaking. I never had to disassemble any cables but you probably have connections in between as well, maybe under the seat and this could be the culprit when the handlebars pull to the left and the right speaker shuts off.

Go to the BMW Motorrad site, to the drop down menu and select the following:

SERVICE/MANUALS/Installation Instructions

Select HERITAGE Models

Select Model B or Transcontinental

And download the TFT screen protection installation manual; it will have the instructions on how to disassemble the front fairing, I would focus all troubleshooting efforts on the wiring harness at the steering tube.

I'm guessing you have wiring that might have been installed too tightly and stressing the audio wiring, or perhaps a loose connection under the fairing.
