How much does an ecu cost r 18

Fom what I can see with a quick google search, looks like a new ECU runs about $650.

Did you fry your ECU somehow? If you’ve got warranty left on the bike, get it in so BMW can repair it.

Have you swapped your pipes back? Curious if your engine light fault persists once you’re back stock.

No some wires fell on the cat while testing. That why I'm not getting ecu response !

Where did you find an ecu for 650?

Can the ecu be repaired ? Who does it .

I googled bmw r18 ecu the other day and it showed me a handful of things at like $650. I can’t replicate those sMe search results now for whatever reason.

I think you’re beyond the expertise of the board here now. Probably time to call your BMW shop. I don’t know jack all about ECU repair. I assume they’d just replace it. However, if the issue was caused by your own fault, warranty won’t cover it.

I'm assuming this random thread is dead... The originator of the thread, is the same person that is struggling with upgrading the exhaust system on their R18, which appears to have put their bike in "Limp" mode; furthermore, the forum member recently posted that the oxygen sensor wiring was damaged by resting on the exhaust system.

Instead of an ECU... probably beneficial to read more, rather than post... Maybe invest in replacing the damaged oxygen sensor, or even better - just pay a professional to do the work..

This is a Rookie 101 move..

I accidentally left the o2 sensor wires not in their hanger. When I tested new exhaust NOT RIDING. which fused together on the Cat. This killed the ecu and wire harness according to dealer I brought the bike to them they diagnosed bad harness and ecu. So 5 months and $ 4,700 later it's running, so I pick up bike load on trailer back home before unloading i looked and the same wires were left unlashed no ties. And smoked wire harness. Rince n Repeat.
