Traded the Bagger in on a TC. I put Memphis shades fork mounted lowers and the little fixed wind deflectors on the bagger to help with buffeting. I also have the KlockWerks windscreen. These modifications did a great job at reducing the buffeting and I was pleased with them.Fast forward to the Transcontinental… After 200 miles on the TC, I cannot believe how well the crash bar mounted deflectors and winglets work! Riding today at about 65 mph, I realized I was in a nice little cocoon of air. I opened my helmet to see if my magnetic clip on sunglasses would vibrate as they usually do, and nothing. No buffeting, no vibrating head or shield on my helmet, just smooth airflow.
I tried the winglets in the open position and they provided nice airflow on my chest but did not affect my helmet. I am truly amazed and pleased with the TC.
I did not try the stock TC windscreen, as I had the dealer switch the KlockWerks screen over from the bagger so I cannot comment on that. Just that the TC with the KlockWerks screen is amazing.
I am 5’8” so my experience may not be the same for taller riders…
