We have been riding since 2009 and I was planning to do some longer rides/touring with my wife but she is no longer able to ride with me. Too nice of bike to become a garage “queen”. Absolutely no issues with the bike!

Good morning from New Haven, CT. I'm interested, but how does the headlamp "stop sale" impact private sales? I was checking on my 2023 Manhattan Metalic Continental that's landlocked at the dealer and stumbled across your forum message. You've added some nice farkles. Are the handlebars stock or aftermarket? Are you interested in a mint condition 1998 R1200C that's being serviced at MAXBMW? Stock handlebars, mirrors, Corbin seat--rides like a top, but room for only 2 bikes in one-car garage.
All the best,
Robert

Hi Robert - Nice bike! Dealears can't sell, private sales can continue, the recall will transfer to the new owner. My headlamp is working and has no issues. Stock handle bars. Unfortunately, I am not going to bring in another bike - we are bound for road trips in the car :(
Best,
Bob

Thanks for the speedy reply. One forum member said the stop sale might not be resolved until August. Ouch!
I'm doing a cross-country trip in June, and my 2023 Transcontinental has been on hold since late February (some
forum member-owners have been waiting for a replacement headlamp since March 2023). I just put my R1200C up for sale
on Chromeheads. I want to pursue your bike, so let me see my options outside of BMW Financial. My bucket list is starting
to appreciate the saying, "The spirit is willing, but can the body keep up?"
I'm 5'11" and 200 lbs. Does that make a difference with your RDL? I've bought bikes with an RDL installed,
and never had a problem, though it was not custom-made for me.
Warmest regards,
